Where to Find Us

We are located in the Newman Building on the Belfield Campus, just off the N11 heading south out of Dublin. The School of History and Archives occupies the J and K corridors on the first floor (upstairs). Follow the green line marked on the floor, past the photocopy area and then up one flight of stairs. The School Office is located through the swing doors on the left in room K107. Unforeseen events can occur during the academic year which may impact your attendance and studies, for short periods of absence (less than 10 working days) due to illness or other events.  

Late Submission of Coursework

If you know in advance that you are not going to meet a submission deadline, the Late Submission of Coursework Policy applies. The application should be made prior to the due date, and granting an extension is at the discretion of the Extension Request Committee. This does not fall under the Extenuating circumstances policy.

The Extension Committee is not normally able to grant extensions without accompanying documentation. All documentation and requests will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Examples include: medical certificates;notes from a student advisor; RIP notifications; letter from a computer repair firm.
