Disability Support

All students with a disability, significant ongoing illness or Specific Learning Difficulty have the opportunity to receive reasonable accommodations and supports. These may include classroom supports such as informing your lecturers about your disability and/or exam supports, e.g. extra time for exams (10 minutes per hour). To receive these supports students are invited to complete a short meeting called a Needs Assessment with UCD Access & Lifelong Learning.

Disability supports will be in place for the duration of your programme, there is no need to have another Needs Assessment meeting each year. However, if you are returning from a Leave of Absence or a break in your studies between degrees, please contact our team to check your supports are still in place for the new academic year. To make an appointment for a Needs Assessment or to review your supports email disability@ucd.ie
