UCD’s existing Analytics approach is in place since 2019. Several drivers point to the need to formulate a new Data Analytics Strategy and establish a refreshed roadmap for analytics in UCD.
An effective Data Analytics Strategy can empower the university to improve the availability of information, enhance user experience, and exploit advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence.
Current Status: Project Steering Committee Terms of Reference and Proposed Membership approved by UMT IT Strategy Group (ITSG), February 8th 2024.
Next Steps
The project team will conduct a broad consultative process engaging with key UCD stakeholders and analytics experts, to help evaluate the role of data analytics in the organisation, define data and analytics governance and design the technical architecture required.

Professor Colin Scott

Professor Colin Scott was appointed Registrar, Deputy President and Vice President for Academic Affairs for a ten-year term commencing 1 December 2023. He is executive sponsor of the new University Data Analytics strategy.
Ms. Amy Carroll
Senior Project Manager
Amy works as Senior Project Manager in the Enterprise Applications Group, UCD IT Services. She has already been leading the UCD Tableau project and is now spearheading the new overall University Digital Analytics Strategy.
