Data Centre Hosting

Our on campus Research IT Daedalus Data Centre can host suitable equipment for your research. Your equipment is directly connected to the HEAnet Education and Research network infrastructure, the  data centre uses UPS units to provide power protection in the event of short power losses and fluctuations in power quality and standby diesel generator with automatic transfer in the event of longer network power failures.

Close controlled and redundant cooling is provided, this ensures that equipment runs in the optimum conditions, extending equipment and component life. This provides the most cost-effective method for on-premise hosting, allowing for efficiencies of scale when it comes to infrastructure deployment and electrical power consumption.

Access to the Data Centre is restricted to authorised personnel only.
