Japanese Tea Expo w Japanese student community

Former Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Yuji Yamamoto, joined the Japanese Tea Expo organised by Ms Nobuko Ijichi (JaSt, Japanese Language and Culture Coordinator, UCD Centre for English and Global Languages (CEGL)) in support of Breast Cancer Ireland.

Mr Yamamoto was delighted to interact with students, discussing the importance of Japan–Ireland relations and highlighting the Ireland–Japan Joint Leaders’ Statement (2022), which set out commitments to expanding political, economic, and people-to-people ties. UCD School of Agriculture and Prof Frank Monahan, where he reconnected over shared memories and the long-standing links between Ireland and Japan in Agriculture and Education.
