Intra-Orbital Foreign Body Study Day

Clinical MRI offers enormous clinical benefits, but also presents potential hazards due to high magnetic field strengths. This leads to an ongoing need to screen patients for metallic intra-orbital foreign bodies. Optimising this process can improve efficiency and resource management.

Hosted by UCD Radiography & Diagnostic Imaging, this study day is scheduled to take place in UCD Health Science Centre on Saturday, 12th March 2016. It presents an excellent CPD opportunity for professionals to increase their knowledge and skills in this area, and also provides an option to a Professional Certificate through engagement with online content and assessment.

Key features include guest speakers and hands-on practical sessions on topics including Anatomy, Image appearances, best practice and current evidence in screening, implementing screening programmes in clinical practice and radiographer’s role in screening.
