Student Medical Summit 2018

Ireland's first ever student-led student-focused medical conference takes place on Saturday 3rd February 2018 at the UCD O'Brien Centre for Science.  The purpose of Student Medical Summit 2018 is to promote the value of research to students, while also giving a platform for excellence in undergraduate research.  The one day event will see the presentation of 80 student research posters, alongside talks from internatioanlly-renowned research leaders.  At the end of the event, one student will be awarded the inaugural 'Irish Undergradute Medical Researcher of the Year' title.

Call for Abstracts

The organisers have opened a call for abstracts.  Closing Date: 17th November 2017.

Keynote Speakers

Keynote speakers include:

  • Prof Sir Stephen O'Rahilly, Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Medicine, Cambridge University (UCD Medicine 1981)
  • Prof Miguel Nicolelis, Professor of Neurobiology, Duke University
  • Mr Mark Pollack, Research Advocate and Adventurer
