Fraxinus Ash

Medium to large sized trees with deciduous pinnate leaves. Inconspicuous flowers borne in Spring are followed by bunches of winged seed. Fraxinus excelsior is native in Ireland. Fraxinus angustifolia subsp. oxycarpa ‘Raywood’ is frequently planted as a landscape tree in urban areas.
