Irish Consultancy Experience
New Programme for 2021
The Irish Consultancy Experience is a new programme launching in summer 2021. This 4-week programme combines academic, professional, and social and cultural components to offer students a challenging, stimulating and rewarding programme.
Students will develop an understanding of modern day Ireland from an economic and cultural perspective, and work on live projects with an Irish charity or enterprise. Within the consultancy project, students can choose to focus on a service learning or industry experience, allowing participants to personalise their programme.
In undertaking this programme students will enjoy the Quinn School of Business approach to transformational learning, immersing in an opportunity to learn from diverse perspectives within diverse settings. Students will contribute to the Irish community, expand their academic knowledge, enrich their social and cultural experience and develop transferable skills. By engaging with the experiences this programme offers, students will expand their outlook, approach, network and horizons.
This is available to undergraduate students of all academic disciplines. This programme is open to students to participate either in-person in Dublin, or remotely from their home State. The in-person programme will be delivered in line with government and public health guidelines and may involve some virtual elements in the inital weeks of the programme. The remote programme will be delivered through a variety of synchronous and asynchronous components with a tailored virtual cultural programme.
Please note, UCD will make a university wide decision regarding in-person teaching of summer programmes in early April. We will communicate any impact of this decision to prospective students immediately.
Summer Internship Programme
This Programme will not run in summer 2021 but will return in 2022.
The Summer Internship Programme consists of a two-week academic programme combined with a six-week internship placement based in Dublin.
Today’s global economy demands graduates with a global perspective. Our Summer Internship Programme for international students enables students to develop practical professional skills and fine-tune their communication skills within a business environment. Part of the thrill of an internship abroad will be discovering the cultural differences that lie between you and your co-workers, and how you relate to each other.
This programme is available to undergraduate students of business or business related academic disciplines.
