From our experience in UCD Research Careers, Postdocs get their next job from their current network. The Alumni Postdoc roundtable series provide current Postdocs with the opportunity to meet previous Postdocs who have moved on to work in a variety of roles across sectors and whose organisations are often interested in recruiting more Postdocs.
The sessions are themed around a particular career or sector however they are relevant to Postdocs whether you plan to pursue an academic career or are curious about exploring other possibilities. They provide Postdocs with insights into Alumni career stories, job descriptions and insider perspectives.
The Alumni Postdoc roundtable series take place in Autumn and Spring each year. The series consists of one-hour moderated, structured but informal discussions, with the opportunity for Q&A.
