Dr Olivia O'Leary

Dr. Olivia O’Leary is an experienced researcher, educator, and project leader passionate about strengthening research support systems across Europe. As a Research Manager on the Horizon Europe-funded CARDEA project, she plays a key role in promoting capacity building and advancing the professional development of research managers and administrators, particularly in widening countries.

In addition to her work on CARDEA, Olivia has lectured in Human Resource Management at University College Cork, where she brought research to life through applied leadership teaching and curriculum innovation. Her academic background includes a doctoral degree in HRM, focusing on psychological contracts in family firms.

Olivia’s work bridges the worlds of research, education, and organisational development. She is committed to empowering research professionals to thrive within the evolving European Research Area.
