We are delighted to announce that twenty-two SATLE projects have been funded, as part of an initiative coordinated by UCD Teaching and Learning, to drive teaching and learning innovation and enhancement across three themes:

  1. Academic integrity and ethical practice
  2. Online learning and assessment
  3. Education for sustainable development

Following an open call for proposals university-wide,  43 applications were submitted including 16 cross-college applications. The quality of proposals was excellent making for a very competitive funding call. A student-centric approach is a key requirement for SATLE funding and all project teams were made up of faculty/staff and student members, working in partnership. The review process of all applications involved: a college level review; review by a panel of independent reviewers (comprising student reviewers and peer reviewers, internal and external to UCD); and a university level review. Projects will begin immediately and funds must be spent by December 2024 after which time the projects will be showcased.

UCD acknowledges the support of the National Forum in partnership with the Higher Education Authority for Strategic Alignment of Teaching and Learning Enhancement Funding (SATLE). Further details are available on the UCD Teaching and Learning website.

Congratulations to the successful projects.
