The UCDVH Animal Welfare Fund (AWF) is dedicated to the provision of care and management of UCD Veterinary Hospital patients that would otherwise not be able to avail of relevant treatments.

Each year, many pets with treatable conditions are put to sleep because their owners have financial constraints that prevent them from being able to afford necessary speciality care.  Unfortunately, treating a pet for just one illness or injury can cost a lot of money. For many struggling families, they are faced with choosing between paying for care for their pet or paying other bills. In this situation, families often have to make the difficult decision to euthanise their pet.

The UCD Veterinary Hospital, through UCD Foundation, has established the UCDVH Animal Welfare Fund to enable the acceptance of donations specifically to aid with the provision of treatment for these animals in our care.

Applications for support can only be made through the patient's UCDVH clinician.  Click here to view the UCDVH Animal Welfare Fund - Criteria for Applying for Financial Support
