What happens next?

You must provide any documents requested in your email acknowledgement.

Please note that the preferred method for receipt of documentation is the upload facility available as part of the application process. This can be used at any stage following the submission of your application.

What is required?

  • We do NOT require original hard copy transcripts. However,  successful applicants are required to go through a qualification checking process.
  • Official translations must be provided where documents are not in English.
  • Please note that if you wish to use your married name, and this is not what appears on the documentation you are submitting, you must include a copy of your marriage certificate.
  • Previous UCD students do not need to submit any UCD transcripts.
  • You must submit all documents listed in the email, but you should also include documentation to support any other qualifications or courses mentioned in your online application.
  • Applicants for the majority of courses are required to pay a €60 application fee. This covers multiple applications for the same academic session. In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, application fees are refundable upon written request within 14 working days from date of receipt of payment, provided assessment has not already taken place. A receipt of payment will be sent to you by email if you choose to pay online.

If I can't upload documents what do I do?

If you are having difficulty uploading a document please check the files size is no greater than 3MB . Filenames must be in the Roman alphabet only and not include punctuation (i.e. dashes, commas, apostrophes) in the file name.

If you are still having trouble you can contact us via the  connector on this link

Please quote your application number in all correspondence in connection with your application .

If you have submitted any documentation as hard-copy then it will be scanned and uploaded to your application record. You will be able to view this, as well as any documentation which you have uploaded yourself, on the 'Checklist Items (Inc Payment) Outstanding' section of your application.

When will I get a decision?

Your application will not be considered until all the requested documentation has been received. You must submit the required documentation as soon as possible. If your application is incomplete at the time of assessment, it will be invalidated and you will not be considered.

For most courses, decisions are made by the relevant school, on a rolling basis, as soon as an application is complete.
