EGA Award Ceremony 2025

The 2025 UCD Engineering Graduates Association (EGA) Award Ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 5th at University College Dublin. The event celebrated top engineering graduates and current student awardees, and awarded Brendan O'Callaghan of Sanofi and Sósanna Ní Dhubháin of Aston Martin F1 recognition for their outstanding contributions to engineering.

The Autumn Panel Discussion was held place on November 19, 2024, at ESB's Headquarters. This event explored several pressing topics at the intersection of engineering and artificial intelligence. Attendees gained insight into current trends in AI, particularly the latest advancements in generative AI tools and platforms. The discussion also featured case studies that highlighted the successful integration of AI into real-world engineering processes, offering practical examples of its applications.

Our 2024 EGA Award Ceremony was held on 6 November at University College Dublin. An annual event which recognises and celebrates the achievements of our graduates. A key part of the evening was presenting the Distinguished Graduate Award to Paddy Hayes, CEO of ESB. A big thank you to our sponsors who support this event and the awards.

EGA Autumn Panel Discussion 2023 | Engineering Ethics and the future of AI

On 25 October 2023, the EGA were joined by a panel of experts at UCD to cover topical issues surrounding Engineering Ethics and the future of AI.

Both Sean Lang, Data Science Lead at Altair and Aidan Connolly, CEO of Idiro Analytics gave informative and thought provoking presentations followed by a Q&A session led by Dr Richard Manton, Registrar of Engineers Ireland (MC for the event). A Q&A session gave our audience members a great chance to engage with our panelists about the applications of AI in both our lives and the profession of engineering.
