EGA Award Ceremony 2025

The UCD Engineering Graduates Association will hold the annual EGA Award Ceremony on Wednesday, 5 November at 18:00 (Irish Standard Time). The proceedings will take place on the University College Dublin campus. The EGA will celebrate the evening by marking the 2025 medal and award recipients and acknowledging the generous sponsors who support this event by rewarding the academic excellence of our students.

2025 UCD EGA Distinguished Graduate Award
Each year, the EGA recognises a standout UCD Engineering graduate with the Distinguished Graduate Award for their exceptional contributions to society. This tradition, which began in 2002, is the highlight of the EGA’s annual calendar. The 2025 UCD EGA Distinguished Graduate Award will be presented to Brendan O'Callaghan, Executive Vice President, Head of Manufacturing and Supply at Sanofi and UCD Engineering alumnus (BE Chem Eng 1982). Brendan joined Sanofi in 2015, bringing extensive experience in biologics and operations management. O'Callaghan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin and plays a key role in advancing Sanofi's mission to deliver over four billion doses annually to patients worldwide.
