Arup Industry Mixer – Networking Event
The UCD Engineering Graduates Association (EGA), in collaboration with Arup, UCD Engineering Society (EngSoc), and UCD Women+ in STEM Society, is hosting an industry networking event for UCD engineering students at Arup’s Dublin headquarters.
This event is designed to give students an opportunity to meet engineers and consultants from a range of disciplines and career stages - from graduate engineers through to senior leadership - and to gain insight into real-world project work and professional pathways within engineering and the built environment.
About the Event
The evening will include:
- An introduction from the Arup team
- Informal networking with engineers and consultants across multiple disciplines
- Opportunities for students to ask questions about career paths, project work, and working in industry
Students attending will be able to engage directly with professionals working on live projects and learn more about the skills, experiences, and interests that support a career in engineering and related fields.
Collaboration and Student Engagement
This event has been organised in collaboration with the UCD Engineering Society (EngSoc) and the UCD Women+ in STEM Society, providing students with access to industry professionals in an inclusive setting.
Supporting Alumni and Industry Engagement
The EGA’s core focus is alumni engagement; however, as a committed corporate member, Arup has offered its support in engaging with current UCD engineering students through this event. The evening provides an opportunity for Arup staff - including UCD alumni - to reconnect with students, share insights from industry, and highlight current and recent project work.
