Dr. Zixia Huang an external examiner for the PhD viva voce at SCAU

Dr. Zixia Huang, Assistant Professor at University College Dublin (UCD), was recently invited to serve as an external examiner for the PhD viva voce of Liuming Luo in the College of Life Sciences at South China Agricultural University (SCAU). With his expertise in genomics and evolutionary biology, Dr. Huang contributed to the evaluation of a thesis investigating the phylogenetic evolution of magnoliids and the genomic underpinnings of medicinal compound biosynthesis in Warburgia ugandensis and Saururus chinensis. His participation reflects not only his active international academic engagement but also the growing research collaboration between UCD and SCAU, which is expanding beyond teaching into meaningful joint research initiatives.
