Student Shane McLoughlin recently completed his PhD
Shane McLoughlin has recently completed his PhD in the School of Information and Communication Studies, UCD. His thesis tested and explored social aspects of Human Information Behaviour, contextualising the rural context, the role of ICT's and Social Capital in his work.
Shane is now working as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Innovation Value Institute, Maynooth University. Working as part of a LERO collaboration with Intel, Shane will be case studying Smart City IOT (Urban Internet of Things) projects in Dublin and London in terms of the value and future scalability of urban IOT initiatives.
