Tableau

Tableau is a modern, cloud-based analytics and reporting tool which helps to empower business users to create reports and analyse data themselves. Across UCD, it gives managers and teams increased access to ad hoc reporting and analytics to support their decision-making.

Tableau is provided to UCD staff by the Enterprise Applications Group (EAG) in UCD IT Services with support from a Tableau Software partner.

Getting started with Tableau

EAG are working with central business areas, schools and colleges on a phased rollout of Tableau. Allocation of Tableau site licences is agreed with each area as part of project planning.  There are currently a limited number of site licences available.  If you would like to discuss the rollout of Tableau, please contact us via (opens in a new window)eag.support@ucd.ie.

(opens in a new window)Academic and (opens in a new window)Student stand alone licences are available free of charge via (opens in a new window)Tableau Academic Programs. These stand alone licences are not affiliated with nor supported by UCD IT Services.

Accessing Tableau

Tableau account holders can access Tableau via UCD Connect. EAG actively audits and manages all Tableau accounts and deactivates any account which has not been active within 6 months.
