Study Abroad Opportunities for UCD Sutherland School of Law Students

At UCD Sutherland School of Law, we actively encourage our students to travel abroad as part of their education.  It is an opportunity not to be missed in today’s globalised world and we offer the best range of study abroad opportunities of any Irish Law School.

The School of Law offers exchange programmes to students on the BBL, BCL, Law with Economics, Law with History, Law with Philosophy, Law with Politics, Law with Social Justice, Law with Irish Programmes.

Applications open around November to January each year, this is available to students when they are enrolled in Stage 2 of their programme. Students need to have completed Stage 1 60 ECTs with an overall Stage 1 G.P.A of 3.08 to be considered for the programme.

For an overview of the exchange programmes including application, destinations and academic policies whilst abroad students should read through this document. Students should note that exchange agreements are negotiated and based on reciprocity and sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances destinations can be added/withdrawn before/after the application has begun.
