"Paul Mucchielli, a Doctoral Researcher in MME recently won the UCD IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Award for his presentation on "Reducing the operational requirements of wind turbines with real-time downtime detection". Paul, supervised by Vikram Pakrashi, is a member of UCD Centre for Mechanics and funded by Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland in the WindPearl project (RDD00263).
