Webinar 23 in the UCD Academic Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Summer School series takes place on Friday 23rd October 2020 at 12:30pm.  Dr Jonathan P Rogers will present on ‘Psychiatric and Neuropsychiatric Presentations & Severe Coronavirus Infections’.  This webinar will be delivered by Zoom and is available free of charge.

As a bonus feature, our normal webinar will be followed by a session on the recent special issue of the Irish Journal of Psychological Medicine on COVID 19 and Mental Health.  This session takes place on Friday 23rd October 2020 from 1:30 – 2:30pm.   The session will feature a number of psychiatrists from around the country who contributed articles to the Special Issue.  Each will give a brief 5 min overview of their paper followed by a Q and A.

Latest News: Special Journal Edition dedicated to the Mental Health Impact of COVID-19

The College of Psychiatrists of Ireland have launched a special edition of the Irish Journal of Psychological Medicine which collates over 40 articles documenting the impact of COVID-19 on mental health in society and the delivery of mental health services since the pandemic took hold. Edited by two UCD Medicine academic staff and covering perspectives from several countries across multiple disciplines and healthcare settings, this unique edition has open access and is freely available to all.

With the outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19), many people are experiencing uncertainty, fear and anxiety.  It is important to not only be aware of our physical health during the outbreak, but also to be mindful of our mental health and well-being.   Prof Blánaid Gavin and her colleagues in UCD Child & Adolescent Psychiatry have pulled together a collection of resources that Children, Parents and Mental Health Professionals may find useful.
