Assistant Professor Mark Pickering wins U21 HSG 2025 Teaching Excellence Award

Congratulations to UCD School of Medicine’s (opens in a new window)Assistant Professor Mark Pickering, who has been announced the Experience Academic Award Winner in the U21 HSG 2025 Teaching Excellence Awards.

As the winner in the Experience Academic category, Dr Pickering will receive funding to travel to the U21 HSG 2026 Annual Meeting in Hong Kong (in November 2026) where he will host and facilitate a joint workshop with the Emerging Academic category award winner (opens in a new window)Mei Li Khong from the University of Hong Kong.

The formal announcement of the award took place during the 2025 Annual Meeting at the end of August at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
