The UCD Medicine Conferring Ceremony took place on Thursday 29 May in UCD O’Reilly Hall – a memorable and significant occasion for this year’s graduating students. Degrees were formally conferred across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, marking a major milestone in the academic journeys of the Class of 2025. Families, friends, and supporters joined in the special event, bringing warmth and energy to the day.
The ceremony featured a speech by distinguished alumnus Dr Patrick Boland and brought together a group of esteemed academic and clinical faculty, who participated in honouring the achievements of those graduating.
Later that evening, celebrations continued at the Medicine Graduation Dinner, where graduates, faculty, and staff came together for an evening of recognition and reflection. Attendees from across the School, including programmes in Biomedical Health and Life Sciences, Medicine, Physiology and Radiography, gathered for a drinks reception followed by a formal dinner.
Professor Michael P. Keane, Dean of Medicine and Head of School, delivered a speech recognising the graduates’ hard work and accomplishments, and extended best wishes for their next chapter.
