Dirk Leipold

Dr. Dirk Leipold is the co-founder and CEO of Equal1 Labs. 

Dirk is a leading expert in semiconductor physics and the semiconductor industry. Since 1995 he has created more than 150 patents on semiconductor device design, cell phone circuitry, and optical sensor design.

Mauro Paternostro 

Professor Mauro Paternostro is Head of the School of Mathematics and Physics at Queen's University Belfast.

Mauro is a leading expert in quantum information and quantum technology with pioneering work the fields of cavity optomechanics, quantum communication, quantum thermodynamics, and the foundations of quantum mechanics. He is recipient of numerous prestigious awards for his research including Leverhulme and von Humboldt fellowships and currently holds a Royal Society Wolfson Fellowship.

Juan Bernabé-Moreno

Dr. Juan Bernabé-Moreno is the Director of IBM Research Europe, Ireland. with the responsibilities to drive innovation and grow a world-class industrial research organization in AI, Accelerated Discovery, high performance computing, mathematical modeling, quantum computing, and other cutting-edge sciences and technologies..

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from University of Granada. He has over 40 publications and is the recipient of several patents.

Luke Barrington

Dr. Luke Barrington is a product development lead at Google Research where he explores how to transform research breakthroughs into new products.

Luke has a PhD in machine learning from UC San Diego. He is an alumnus of UCD where he did his undergrad in Electrical Engineering. Luke previously worked Alphabet's drone delivery project. Prior to Google, Luke was a successful startup founder and has an extensive background in geospatial data, mapping and satellites.

Jim Clark

Dr. Jim Clarke is the Director of Quantum Hardware at Intel Corporation.

Jim launched Intel’s Quantum Computing effort in 2015. His group’s primary focus is to use Intel’s process expertise to develop scalable qubit arrays. Prior to his current role, Jim managed a group focused on interconnect research at advanced technology nodes as well as evaluating new materials and paradigms for interconnect performance. He has also worked with industry leaders and the Intel policy group to influence the U.S. National Quantum Initiative Act.
