SBI Wins Research Lab of the Year 2018
Last Thursday, for the sixth year running, laboratory teams from all over Ireland convened in Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin for the Irish Laboratory Awards 2018. The Irish Laboratory Awards recognise and celebrate excellence of Ireland's internationally renowned scientific community in areas including research, innovation, leadership and collaboration and focus on the ongoing work of Irish scientists to grow and develop a sustainable, globally competitive science research. More than 250 attendees from Irish academic institutions as well as big and small industry awaited the awards in 22 distinct categories.
SBI was represented by Dr. Jens Rauch and Dr. Alex Ebhardt, collecting the prestigious award for ‘Research Laboratory of the Year’. This was a great achievement for the whole institute in a very competitive category including research laboratories at University College Cork, Teagasc, and St. James’s Hospital. Well done to everybody at SBI!
