Stage in Dublin (For CDIC Students)

22 places are available for Stage 3 in Dublin.

Requirements

  • Minimum GPA 3.08
  • Minimum grade C+ in Stage 2 English language modules
  • Should more than 20% of Stage 2 students apply, students will be ranked based on their GPA (UCD).  GPA is calculated:  50% Stage 1 + 50% Stage 2, Semester 1
  • At the time of applying students should not be carrying any failed modules

Fees

Students will pay international student fees to UCD.  A partial scholarship is available.

This payment will be made directly to UCD.

Students will also pay 50% of the annual CHD tuition fee to maintain their CHD registration and be eligible to be awarded a CHD degree.  This payment will be made directly to CHD.

Application process

Students must submit an expression of interest to CDIC by end of April.  Students then apply via UCD online application system.  The deadline is 19 May. Please go here and select the course finder.  Enter the major code: 

Automotive Engineering Stage 3 (NMS4)

You are already a UCD student, so you do not need to set up a new account. Select “use an existing account” and enter your UCD student number as the username.  Your password will be the same as the password you currently use to access UCD systems.  Once you have logged in, your personal details and course choice will appear.  Check all details then “submit”.  You will receive an email in your UCD account to confirm submission.  You will receive a decision on your application after the deadline of 19 May.

Students must arrive in Dublin by 2 September.  The academic year ends on 17 May.

Information on preparing for your travel to Ireland is available on UCD International.  Chinese students need a visa in order to study in Ireland.  Visa information is available on the Irish Embassy website in (opens in a new window)English and (opens in a new window)Chinese.  After you arrive in Ireland, you must complete immigration registration.  There is a guide to the process on the UCD Global website.
