CEPL04 - Beyond GDPR: The Ethical Challenges of Big Data Analytics

The vast array of data now available to create knowledge, make better predictions and improve tailored services has the potential to both greatly enhance our lives and threaten our privacy, confidentiality and identity. We ask what sort of ethical self-regulation the Big Data Industry should engage in, what the ethical risks of current and future business practices might be and the emerging idea of ethically-informed software design.
