IMiBio: Misiones - A Biodiversity Haven
This week we're very pleased to welcome colleagues from the Instituto Misionero de Biodiversidad (IMiBio, https://imibio.misiones.gob.ar/en) in Argentina to talk about their work and the fascinating biodiversity of Argentina. IMiBio is working to establish a strategic scientific and technological nucleus integrated into the educational, social, cultural and economic environment for the sustainable use of the natural heritage of the Province of Misiones, Argentina. The Institute promotes and supports the creation of policies and legal instruments that guarantee the sustainable use of goods and services derived from biodiversity, and is looking to form new international collaborations. We'll be joined by Emanuel Grassi (IMiBio Director General), Erik Ruuth (IMiBio Chief Scientific Officer) and Candelaria Sanchez Fernandez (IMiBio researcher) who will talk about their wide-ranging research on zoonotic viruses, mushrooms and more!
