The Unavoidable Interconnectedness of Everything
Earth Institute and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council artist in residence, Mark Clare, proposes exploring the decline of insect populations and the impact this is having on the local biodiversity in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown. Mark is particularly interested in learning more about the phenomenon of interspecies relationships by looking at these as examples of symbiotic relationships that represent a creative and sensitive approach to living within one's environment as a possible theme for developing new work around. He is also interested in learning more around environmental policies and sustainable programs relating to the preservation of local insect populations and how these are being implemented across different areas.
