Assumptions
The assumptions are used in association with the driver (registrations) to calculate Student FTEs and Fee Income.
The vast majority of assumptions are calculated in advance of planning using data from the most recent census and also the census of the preceding November and the equivalent census of the prior year. This data is loaded to PBCS and used to populate the Base Five Year Plan.
FMs are able to 'tweak' the assumptions in order to fine-tune the driver-based planning. Where majors are added for planning purposes, associated assumptions will also need to be added in order to calculate FTEs and Fee Income. Usually this is done via the Bulk Uploads spreadsheet.
