UCD Health Affairs, The Mater Hospital and the Irish East Hospital Group welcomed Professor John Higgins to the medical grand rounds at the Catherine McAuley Centre on the 3rd of September.

Professor Higgins spoke with a panel of doctors from across the Mater and St Vincent's Hospital on the topic of 'Slaintecare and Hospital Groups'. The discussion followed on from Professor Higgins report to the government on
‘(opens in a new window)The Establishment of Hospital Groups as a Transition to Independent Hospital Trusts’, produced by an expert group led by Professor John Higgins in 2013. The panel discussion was chaired by Professor Tim Lynch, Chief Academic Officer of the Ireland East Hospital Group and Vice Principal of UCD Health Affairs.
