Certificate in Archives Management and Certificate in Records Management
The Certificate in Archives Management and the Certificate in Records Management are part-time undergraduate level courses aimed at individuals already working with records or archives in their employing organisations who are seeking to acquire and develop knowledge of professional best practice in core areas of archives or records management. Both programmes have a practical focus with the assessment supporting students to apply their learning in order to identify issues in their own workplace and develop specific solutions and responses to those. In both programmes many of the classes are shared with students taking the MA in Archives and Records Management, enabling Certificate students to participate in the wider Archivistics community in the School of History.
To be eligible to apply for either Certificate programme, applicants must already be employed in a role that involves working with records and/or archives as part of their job. A supporting letter from the employing organisation confirming this is required as part of the application documentation.
