UCD and the Law School recognise that life can be demanding and strive to support those who have family obligations, who are preparing to become a parent, and who are going on or returning from family-related leave. Information about supports for parents and guardians is listed on the university’s EDI website.
A list of breastfeeding facilities in UCD and UCD’s Breastfeeding Policy is available here. The Law School also has a breastfeeding room – please ask at the Law School reception for access. More generally, if you have any issues relating to family or caring responsibilities, please speak with your student adviser.
Detailed information about staff leave and absence entitlements is available on the UCD Human Resources website. UCD has also developed polices and guidelines on Job Sharing and hybrid/remote working.
Lastly, the Employee Assistance Service offers professional counselling sessions to staff experiencing difficulties at work.
