Yes, when accepting your room offer, you will be given the option of either paying for the year in full in advance of your arrival, or you can opt to pay in monthly instalments. The cost of the accommodation will be the same for whichever payment schedule you choose. If you opt for monthly payments, these payments will be due on the 1st of every month, e.g September 1st, October 1st, etc.

The booking/security deposit is a refundable payment made by the student when accepting their accommodation offer.

The deposit is no longer equivalent to one month's license fee  For 25/26 the existing security/booking deposit amount has been amended to a standard uniform amount of €750 applicable to all residences, regardless of preferred residence price point.

Your booking deposit will be returned to you within 28 working days of your departure date. Your deposit will be returned to your nominated bank account on SISWeb. Click here to see how to nominate a bank account on SISWeb

A monthly instalment will consist of one month's License Fee / Rent associated with the Residence Type price band for which the resident has a booking. For example, the monthly instalment for a resident in the "Apartment - Shared Bathroom" accommodation type will be cheaper than the monthly instalment for the "Apartment - Ensuite" accommodation type. The monthly instalment will also include the monthly cost of utilities and catering (if applicable).

Please visit Accommodation Prices 2025/26 for further details.

You can get a statement of your accommodation payments on your UCD Residences Portal. Please click here to see how to get a feesstatement for further information.

In line with current RTB Legislation, if you wish to cancel your accommodation on campus within the License Period, you are required to give a 28-day notice to end your stay in UCD Residences by submitting a cancellation request on your Residence Portal (see guide (opens in a new window)here). You will be liable to pay the License Fee and any and all associated charges up to the end of the 28-day notice period or such longer period of notice provided in the cancellation request.

Note: Your booking deposit will be returned to you within 28 days of cancellation. Your deposit will be returned to your nominated bank account on SISWeb. Click here to see how to nominate a bank account on SISWeb.
