Payment Methods

Residential payments can be made via

  • SISWeb using a Credit or Debit card
  • Bank Transfer
  • International Bank draft drawn on an Irish Account
  • Bank Draft/ Postal Order/ Cheque drawn from an Irish Account

Please be aware that there are often limits on cards and if you are having a problem making a payment you should try to make a payment of less than €1,000. This particularly applies to cards from no -Irish banks. Please click Payment Methods to view our PDF printable payment methods guide.

The License to Reside periods for the 2022/2023 Academic year ae expected* to begin on the 1st of September 2022, 01/09/22, and incoming residents will be able to check-in from this date.

* License dates are subject to change in line with key academic dates for the 22/23 academic year.

In light of recent amendments to Housing Legislation in Ireland, UCD Residences, as a student accommodation provider, is required to change its existing payment structure to a new schedule. In this new schedule, residents can pay their license fee in monthly installments.

A monthly installment will consist of the one months' License Fee / Rent for the Residence price band for which the resident has a booking. For example, the monthly installment for a resident in the "Apartment - Shared Bathroom" accommodation type will be cheaper than the monthly installment for the "Apartment - Ensuite" accommodation type. The monthly installment will also include the monthly cost of utilities and catering (if applicable).

Yes, it has. The booking and security deposit is no longer equivalent to one month's license fee  For 22/23 the existing security/booking deposit amount has been amended to a standard uniform  amount  of €720 applicable to all residences, regardless of preferred residence price point.

In line with current RTB Legislation, if you wish to cancel your accommodation on-campus within the License Period, you are required to give a 28-day notice to end your stay in UCD residences  by submitting a cancellation form via email to residences@ucd.ie . You will be liable to pay the License Fee and any and all associated charges up to the end of the 28-day notice period or such longer period of notice provided in the Cancellation Form.
