Residential Payments

For information on how to pay your monthly residential fees, please see the following payment guide.

Payment Methods

Residential payments can be made via

  • UCD Residences Portal using a Credit or Debit card
  • Bank Transfer
  • International Bank draft drawn on an Irish Account
  • Bank Draft/ Postal Order/ Cheque drawn from an Irish Account

Please be aware that there are often limits on cards and if you are having a problem making a payment you should try to make a payment of less than €1,000. This particularly applies to cards from non-Irish banks.

The License to Reside period for the 2024/2025 academic year begins on the 1st of September 2024, 01/09/24. Incoming residents will be able to check in from this date from August 29th 2024 and CAO students will be able to check-in from September 3rd 2024.

A monthly installment will consist of the one months' License Fee / Rent for the Residence price band for which the resident has a booking. For example, the monthly installment for a resident in the "Apartment - Shared Bathroom" accommodation type will be cheaper than the monthly installment for the "Apartment - Ensuite" accommodation type. The monthly installment will also include the monthly cost of utilities and catering (if applicable).

Yes, it has. The booking and security deposit is no longer equivalent to one month's license fee  For 24/25 the existing security/booking deposit amount has been amended to a standard uniform amount of €735 applicable to all residences, regardless of preferred residence price point.

In line with current RTB Legislation, if you wish to cancel your accommodation on-campus within the License Period, you are required to give a 28-day notice to end your stay in UCD Residences by submitting a cancellation request on your Residence Portal (see guide here). You will be liable to pay the License Fee and any and all associated charges up to the end of the 28-day notice period or such longer period of notice provided in the cancellation request.

Note: Your booking deposit will be returned to you within 28 days of cancellation. Your deposit will be returned to you nominated bank account on SISWeb. Click here to see how to nominate a bank account on SISWeb
