| BSocSc Sociology Scholarship Stage 2 Scholarships will be awarded to the 3 top students in each a) Sociology and b) Social Policy provided the student obtains a minimum GPA of 3.40 for the modules in the discipline and passes Stage 1 overall. |

| UCD Cothrom na Féinne Graduate Scholarships (Widening Participation scholarship) Access & Lifelong Learning delivers a range of initiatives to facilitate widening participation in UCD, including outreach, admissions and student support. Through UCD Access and Lifelong Learning, students from a variety of backgrounds including mature students, school leavers from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds and those with a disability are encouraged to progress and succeed at UCD. |
| School of Sociology Graduate Scholarships PhD Scholarship funding is under review in the academic year 2023/2024 in line with national guidelines on funded scholars. There are currently no scholarships available, but it is hoped that the School can provide Scholarship offerings in the future. |
| Bachelor of Social Science Graduate Scholarship Please see: Under College of Social Sciences and Law for Bachelor of Social Science Graduate Scholarship Up to two postgraduate students (with the highest GPA score) who achieve an overall GPA of 3.68 in the BSocSc and the four-year BSocSc (International) and who are proceeding to higher degrees at this University may be awarded scholarships of €2,540 per annum. Subject to acceptance on a course and to satisfactory compliance with the normal requirements for completing a course, the scholarships are tenable for a maximum of two years' consecutive full-time (or four years consecutive part-time) study in the case of the Diploma or the Master's Degrees in the College of Human Sciences listed below, a maximum of three years’ consecutive full-time study in the case of the PhD and a maximum of three years’ full-time (or six years consecutive part-time) study, with consecutive registration, in the case of a student who pursues a Master's Degree immediately followed by the PhD in the areas covered by the degrees listed below (any extension to this will be subject to review by the College Principal). The Social Science Programme Board may also consider other Graduate Degrees or Higher/Graduate Diplomas offered within the College of Human Sciences as being suitable in individual circumstances. • Master of Arts |
| Bachelor of Arts Graduate Scholarship Please see: Under College of Arts and Humanities for Bachelor of Arts Graduate Scholarship In any year, the availability of and number of Scholarships will be recommended by the BA Programme Board to the Principal of the College of Arts and Celtic Studies and the Principal of the College of Human Sciences for their approval. To be considered for an award, a student must have applied for a UCD graduate programme, as set out below, prior to a date set annually by the BA Programme Board. |
| (opens in a new window)Irish Research Council The IRC manages a suite of inter-linked research schemes, funding scholars at various career stages, from postgraduate study to senior research project-based awards. For early stage researchers these include the Government of Ireland Post-Graduate Scholarships and Government of Ireland Post-Doctoral Fellowships, which fund research at pre- and post-doctoral levels, and the Research Development Initiative Scheme, which allows researchers and research teams to expand their activities into new research areas by way of stimulus project grants and knowledge transfer initiatives. |

Up to twelve Mitchell Scholars between the ages of 18 and 30 are chosen annually for one year of graduate study in Irish Universities, including UCD. |

Irish undergraduates, master’s students, and Ph.D. candidates can come to Notre Dame on the fellowship, while Notre Dame undergraduates, master’s students, and Ph.D. candidates can travel to Ireland to study and complete research. |

Each year, Universities Ireland offers four scholarships, each worth €15,000. |
