Open to: All successful applicants to eligible full time, one-year taught Masters programmes who are citizens of and resident in Africa. 

This is a highly competitive scholarship, and as such successful applicants are likely to have obtained a first class honours degree.

UCD CSC Scholarship Scheme 

University College Dublin (UCD) and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) affiliated with the Ministry of Education of China have established a unique scholarship scheme to assist Chinese students to pursue PhD programmes in UCD.

HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand Scholarships (Thailand

Open to: All successful applicants to one-year full time taught Masters programmes who are citizens of, and resident in Thailand in year of application.

  • 1 x 100% tuition fee scholarship in the field of Agriculture & Food Science with living costs covered
  • 1 x 100% tuition fee scholarship in any field with the exception of MBA, with living costs covered

What is it?
The UCD Global Excellence Graduate Scholarship award offers tuition scholarship to students from North America on one year taught graduate programmes (excluding programmes at the Smurfit School of Business, joint masters and clinical programmes (including physiotherapy and medicine).

What is expected in terms of selection for the award?
Candidates will be selected on academic merit, ability to contribute to UCD, and potential to act as an ambassador for UCD. Candidates must apply online (details below).

UCD Exchange & Study Abroad Scholarship

Returning Exchange and Study Abroad students are eligible for a €3,000 tuition scholarship.

Open to: Successful applicants  of eligible UCD graduate taught and research masters programmes who:

  • spent a minimum of one semester in UCD (Dublin campuses) on exchange or study abroad, AND
  • are paying non-EU fee rate, AND
  • have not previously been enrolled to UCD on a full-time programme AND
  • register on a full-time master’s degree programme in  January 2016, September 2016 or January 2017

Award: Students paying non-EU fee rate are eligible for a €3,000 tuition fee scholarship.

Application: After being accepted to an eligible programme students must contact internationalscholarships@ucd.ie to confirm their eligibility for the UCD Exchange & Study Abroad Scholarship.

 

The Irish Fulbright Commission

Fulbright US student awards (approximately €16,000) enable US graduate students to spend one academic year studying or researching in Ireland.

The Mitchell Scholars Program

Sponsored by the US-Ireland Alliance The Mitchell Scholars Program is designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognising and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to community and public service.

Up to twelve Mitchell Scholars between the ages of 18 and 30 are chosen annually for one year of graduate study in Irish Universities, including UCD.

Naughton Fellowships

Students who are earning their undergraduate degree from Notre Dame and wish to pursue a Master's degree may apply for a Naughton Fellowship to study in Ireland. Notre Dame students may study at one of four Irish Universities including UCD.

Through the Naughton Fellowship, students can earn a full tuition waiver along with a $20,000 stipend for living expenses.

Maria Helena Kopschitz Scholarship for MA in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama - Brazil 

The School of English, Drama and Film, University College Dublin, is pleased to announce the continuation of the Maria Helena Kopschitz Scholarship to enable a Brazilian student to pursue the MA in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama, University College Dublin. The scholarship honours the pioneering contribution to Irish studies in Brazil made by Professor Maria Helena Kopschitz.

  • register on a full-time masters degree programme at UCD in September 2016 or January 2017

Woodside Energy Masters Scholarships in Petroleum Geoscience - Multiple Region

University College Dublin is pleased to announce the Woodside Energy Masters Scholarships in Petroleum Geoscience. Two scholarships, worth €15,000 each, are now available to support high-achieving students undertaking the MSc in Petroleum Geoscience at the UCD School of Geological Sciences in the 2015/16 session.

Russia

The Global Education Programme

Global Education Program (GEP) is a Russian government funding program that offers Russian citizens an opportunity to study at leading foreign higher education institutions and to get employment in accordance with the qualification gained.

The aim of the programme is to address skills shortages in key areas: Science, Medical Science, Education, Administration and Engineering. Besides tuition fees, the Program grant covers travel expenses to and from the student's place of residence to the university, medical insurance, accommodation, meals and academic literature.

Eligible Participants: 

• Russian citizens

• Enrolled in Master, PhD and Residency training programs from a priority study area at leading foreign universities
