Welcome to the home of the UCD Staff Photography Club. The Club aims to provide a relaxed and welcoming setting for staff to learn more about photography, share their photos and develop their skills. Membership is open to any staff member with an interest in photography, regardless of skill level. You won't need a 'fancy' camera and we'll try as much as possible to tailor monthly challenges to camerphone users as well as SLR owners.
Visit the new Staff Photo Club website.
Following on from the success of the "Staff Art Club" pilot programme, Culture & Engagement are turbo-charging our abmitions and facilitating a series of lunchtime sketching sessions. Join colleagues from around the university for some relaxing sketching in a variety of locations around the campus. For more information see the programme website.
Please note, this programme is currently paused (November 2021)
UCD Staff & Postgraduate Tennis Club has, for many decades, organised a variety of lawn tennis activities year round for people working, researching and studying year round at University College Dublin, Ireland.
Club activities have been based at the five floodlit, all-weather tennis courts situated between the UCD Sports & Fitness Centre and Water Tower on the west side of UCD’s Belfield campus. The club has a friendly and informal atmosphere in which the social aspect of being able to meet with others from across such a large and diverse organisation is considered as important as the tennis itself. Members span a wide range of ages and playing ability. New members are always made welcome at our regular events which include a variety of competitions, coaching sessions and social tennis evenings.Members pay a nominal annual fee and in return enjoy free access to the courts and the changing facilities in the Sports Centre during the club's reserved court times. Most club activities, bar coaching, are free of any further charge. Membership operates on a fixed year basis from the beginning of April to the end of March. The year is split into two seasons: Summer (Apr - Sep) and Winter (Oct - Mar).
UCD Purl Jam is a craft group at UCD mainly focused on knitting and crochet. Students and staff are welcome to join us. We work together on all sorts of different projects, including tea cosies, hats, scarves, baby items, Christmas decorations and gifts – you name it, we can knit it! We welcome all levels of experience, from total beginner to totally experienced. Come along and join in the Jam!
For more information and to sign up to the mailing list, contact Catriona Keane or Niamh Nestor, Student Advisers: catriona.keane@ucd.ie / niamh.nestor@ucd.ie.
Join in the fun every Tuesday during term time from 1-2pm, on the 4th floor of UCD O’Brien Centre for Science.
No experience is required and all are welcome to come along.

UCD is based in a Garda-authorised range on Belfield Campus (air rifle and air pistol disciplines). Club members enjoy access to training, coaching and competition using club-owned air rifles and air pistols. The club is new and hopes to generate a friendly and informal atmosphere for UCD students, postgraduates and staff.
