Exchanges and Erasmus+

UCD students can study at partner universities around the world for one trimester or a full academic year, gaining global experience while staying on track with their degree. Exchanges are not possible in every stage of your degree, and exchanges typically happen in Stage 2, 3, or 4, but not in Stage 1. If you are a Stage 1 student, see the link below.

Participation in Exchange and Erasmus+ opportunities is not guaranteed. Please make sure you read all the information provided in the following pages carefully, as they contain essential details for a successful application and planning.

Ready to apply? First, review eligibility, credit, funding and deadlines. Then submit your application.

When and where can I go on Exchange?

How long, where, and when you can go on exchange, depends on your programme of study. You should also take into consideration other options; cost, language, classes, etc. when doing your research.
