Traineeships for UCD Students
UCD Global may provide funding for students undertaking work experience or internships within any of the EU member states and (opens in a new window)third countries associated to the programme.
Requirements
- The traineeship must be approved by the student’s UCD School and can be from two months to a year in duration. PhD researchers can also avail of a traineeship of 5 to 30 days.
- The School, the employer and the student must all sign a Learning Agreement before the traineeship starts.
- Funding is subject to availability and grant amounts depend on the destination country and the length of the traineeship.

Information for Staff on Supervising a Trainee at UCD
Outgoing traineeship students need to have their traineeship approved by an academic member of staff or a College Internship Manager prior to their departure. This is done via the signing of a Learning Agreement. There is a template available, which UCD Global provides via email.
Please refer to (opens in a new window)Erasmus+ website for further information and instructions for filling out the Learning Agreement.
Please note that Erasmus+ traineeship funding is not guaranteed. Please refer your student to UCD Global so that they can enquire if funding is available.
