Discover Dublin & Ireland
Ireland's Cultural Capital
Welcome to Ireland
Ireland is a member country of the EU and we are the only English-speaking country in the Eurozone.
Ireland is home to one of the best education systems in the world, meaning graduates from Irish Universities are highly sought after by international businesses, governments and academic institutions.
International students love exploring our beautiful country while studying abroad here. The North is home to the Giant's Causeway and in the South, you'll find the bustling city centre of Cork.
There are also two UNESCO World Heritage sites here, and countless ancient sites for you to explore!
Dublin in a Day
The city centre is only four kilometres from UCD and can be easily reached by public transport. It is also perfect to explore on foot or by bike if you are feeling energetic.
Enjoy a morning coffee in the peaceful surroundings of St Stephen’s Green or visit the renowned MoLI museum. Nearby, you will find the famous shopping district of Grafton Street, with Drury Street and the Powerscourt Shopping Centre only a short stroll away.
Across Dame Street, you will find yourself in the iconic Temple Bar, near the River Liffey. A walk across one of the many pedestrian bridges will bring you to O'Connell Street, which hosts the St Patrick's Day Festival each year. Here, you will also find the Spire and the historic GPO.
Dublin on a Weekend
When you're spending your weekends in Dublin, don't miss out on the (opens in a new window)Guinness Storehouse,(opens in a new window)Kilmainham Jail and our famous Dublin pubs.
There are hundreds of welcoming pubs to choose from, where you can listen to live music, watch comedy acts and mingle.
