An application for RPL should be made as early as possible and preferably before you commence the relevant module/stage/programme. We do not currently accept online applications. Please contact (opens in a new window)dataanalyticsonline@ucd.ie for an RPL application form. 

Fees for the online Professional Diploma and MSc are paid per credit. Students are only obliged to pay the fee each trimester for the modules they are taking in that trimester. 

If your employer is paying your fees and requires an invoice, please contact (opens in a new window)dataanalyticsonline@ucd.ie prior to the fee payment deadline.

From time to time students may have health problems, emotional problems, work problems or other difficulties that may prevent them from performing at their best.

Information about withdrawing from your programme

Withdrawing from your programme is different from choosing to leave your programme with an exit award. If you would like to leave with an exit award please contact the School Office. 

Students must attend in-person for one or two days at the end of each trimester to sit exams in the modules taken that trimester.

Exams are scheduled by the School. For the Autumn and Spring trimesters, exams are held during the standard UCD exam period. During the Summer trimester, exams are scheduled from the early to mid-August. Exams will take place either on UCD Campus and the (opens in a new window)RDS

  • Exam timetables for Autumn trimester will be emailed to students in November.

  • Exam timetable for Spring trimester will be emailed to students in April.

  • Exam timetable for Summer trimester will be emailed to students in July.

Students have the option to leave part way through their programme with a qualification based on the number of credits they have earned as the above diagram shows.
