Overview

The Bachelor of Business Studies programme in Singapore is a prestigious undergraduate degree that enables students to concentrate on a specific discipline such as HRM, Marketing or Finance. This programme has been designed for those seeking to advance their business education and careers. UCD is ranked at top 1% of institutions worldwide and one of the few elite business schools to hold the ‘Triple Crown’ accreditation’ from EQUIS (Europe), AACSB (US) and AMBA (UK). The globally-recognised university is aiming to nurture the new generation of global leaders in the world of contemporary business.

UCD has nine programme pathways on offer as part of the BBS programme.  We aspire to produce graduates that will have a significant impact on the general development of business both locally and internationally while climbing the ranks in their chosen career.

UCD aims to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages programme participants to strategically assess business practices and theories, on an individual and team basis, in order to progress individual and team capacities for management, critical enquiry, ethical governance, leadership and strong interpersonal engagement.

With 6,000 BBS graduates in South East Asia alone, our graduates join an elite alumni community offering networking events on an ongoing basis.

With both full-time and part-time options for our BBS programme in Singapore, we have study options that will best fit the needs of students who can fully commit their time for their future and working adults who need to juggle between their careers and studies.

Curriculum - September 2020

The BBS curriculum is designed to develop future leaders in international business through a wide variety of learning activities. These activities focus on developing informed thinkers, graduates who are mentally agile in problem-solving with a strong ability for reflective critically. Programme participants will be confident in their fields of research and will be able to discuss, apply and act upon their knowledge while simultaneously having the ambition and courage to contribute to business and society.

The BBS programme is based on a curriculum structured upon stimulating teaching, learning and assessment approaches designed by leading experts in their fields of business. The innovative learning atmosphere draws on in-class participation, teamwork and online fora. Programme participants will better understand and navigate the global business environment by leveraging on business case studies, project work, in-class debate, presentations and online resources reinforced by a wealth of knowledge from our teaching faculty.

Summer School

Every August, students have the opportunity to undertake two of their modules in the UCD Belfield campus in Ireland with the UCD annual Summer School. Students are only able to take only Business Strategy and Project Management (both stage 3 modules) for the UCD Summer School programme.
