Two Research Assistants in Corruption Studies – School of Politics and International Relations, University College Dublin, Ireland
The School of Politics and International Relations, University College Dublin, invites applications for two (2) Research Assistants in Corruption Studies for a period of no more than 13 weeks. The first Research Assistant would work on literature reviews on corruption studies, sexual corruption, and other related areas. Candidates with further research interest in development, education and migration studies would be highly desirable.
The second Research Assistant will support the PI in developing research designs for surveys and fieldwork. The candidate will collaborate with the PI to identify suitable enumeration/survey firms for field research in various Sub-Saharan African countries, the Republic of Ireland, and the United Kingdom. This involves obtaining quotes from survey firms and assisting with the cost analysis of conducting research in the chosen countries. Candidates with field research and survey experience in South Africa, Rwanda, Nigeria and/or other African countries are strongly encouraged to apply. The candidate will also assist in reviews on corruption and sexual corruption.
These positions would benefit graduate and PhD students in international development, political science, economics and closely related disciplines. However, candidates with relevant experience are equally encouraged to apply.
Job Details:
- Duration: 20 hours per week for no more than 13 weeks.
- One candidate may be selected to carry out the 2 positions on a full-time basis for no more than 13 weeks if the skills and time commitment of the applicant align with the job description.
- Timing: As soon as possible. Preferably by the 1st to 14th of July 2025
- Value: €17-€20 per hour
