Dr Alexander Dukalskis co-authored a study for the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs about transnational repression

The study will be presented in the Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) meetingon Wednesday, January 28:   (opens in a new window)(opens in a new window)https://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/AFET-OJ-2026-01-28-1_EN.html . The lead co-author will present the report followed by questions from committee members. The study is intended to inform European policy about transnational repression, which is when states repress members of their diaspora abroad with methods ranging from low-level threats and surveillance to direct violence.
