Admissions Pathways
Being a University for All starts with our diverse admission pathways, providing opportunities for everyone to become part of the UCD Community. It is at the heart of our values and mission.
To attract, retain and develop an excellent and diverse student population, is a key goal in the UCD Strategy 2020-2024: Rising to the Future. Having a range of admissions pathways directly contributes to this goal.
In addition to leaving certificate points, UCD has 6 access progression routes into undergraduate degrees including;
25% of first year places in each undergraduate programme are ring fenced for the access admission pathways, HEAR/DARE; QQI-FET, Mature, University Access progression and Open Learning Progression.
