Beijing – Dublin International College Contract Renewal to 2030
Wednesday, 23 March, 2022
Message from UCD President, Professor Andrew J. Deeks
“I am very pleased to confirm that following successful independent quality reviews by UCD and the Chinese Ministry of Education that we have renewed our contract with Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) to extend our collaborative arrangement in running our joint international college, the Beijing – Dublin International College (BDIC), until 2030.
Having opened in 2012, BDIC, where we offer 4 majors to over 1300 students, is now recognised as a model of excellence for transnational education in China. In recognising the quality of offering at BDIC our renewal was granted without any conditions attached - this is testament to the commitment and dedication of everyone involved with and supporting BDIC but particularly I would say those teaching on the BDIC programmes & providing administrative support. This positive affirmation is doubly pleasing given the challenges COVID-19 has posed for us in operating BDIC.
Congratulations to faculty and staff from the three UCD Colleges, seven UCD Schools & Units and our partner BJUT involved.”
