Student Leader Programme

Tuesday, 19 March, 2024

This programme allows current students to work casual, part-time hours at events aimed at Prospective Students such as UCD Open Day, UCD Summer School, UCD Graduate Open Day and other information evenings and events.

Role Description

The Student Leader Programme is aimed at Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Environmental Policy & Landscape Architecture students who share a passion for their studies and want to share their knowledge and experience to encourage people to consider higher education.

This is a casual, part-time position. There is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours and similarly there is no requirement to work a set number of hours over the year. Students will receive an email alerting them to an upcoming event where they will have the chance to sign up.

The work as a Student Leader is always secondary to your studies and any other commitments. Typically students work on average of 3-4 events across the academic year.

In the past students have found this to be an exciting and rewarding experience, which provides opportunities for personal growth and professional development. It is also another way to meet fellow students from different degree subjects and stages. We are proud of our current and past Student Leaders.

All of our Student Leaders must attend required training before they undertake the role. All activities at which Student Leaders work are supported and managed by the UCD College of Engineering & Architecture Outreach, Marketing & Student Recruitment team.

Requirements for the Role

Student Leaders must be fully registered students in the UCD College of Engineering & Architecture (at least Stage 2 undergraduate) and must have met all academic requirements for their year of study. We will review all applications to ensure these criteria are met.
